Make 2021 Your Best Health Year Yet!

make 2021 your best health year yet!

Now that we’re in February, and well into the new year, how are your resolutions holding up?

We know that striving to lose weight, exercise more, and make other healthy lifestyle choices can be a challenge, especially when you’re dealing with a chronic pain condition. The team at Midwest Anesthesia Pain Specialists wanted to share some encouraging ideas to help inspire our patients to keep pushing onward and inspire change!

No More Pain in 2021

Did you know that chronic pain is the #1 reason why people in the United States access the healthcare system? Back painneck painknee painmigraines, and other conditions such as these contribute to missed work, school, and a myriad of other problems.

At MAPS, we provide a spectrum of solutions to relieve pain, with an emphasis on nonsurgical, innovative treatments that are on the cutting edge of medical technology. If living without pain is one of your resolutions for 2021, be sure to contact us to schedule an appointment.

Increase Your Activity

It goes without saying that the benefits of physical exercise are enormous. From endorphins to weight loss to improving cardiovascular strength and simply feeling better – there is nothing quite like getting in a good workout.

While going out for a run may not be possible if you’re working through a pain condition, even adding any additional physical activities to your routine will improve your health and fitness. Aim to be active for at least 30 minutes a day, five days a week. Switch it up and have a workout buddy if it encourages you to stay engaged and motivated. Your body will thank you for it.

Prioritize Your Mental Health

Mental health is equally important as physical health, and we encourage you to prioritize it to make 2021 your best health year yet.

As the world heals and the COVID vaccine rolls out, we are hopeful that things will return to a “new normal” where people can get together, go travel, and not be as isolated as we’ve been in 2020. Consider it an opportunity for growth, and to reconnect with yourself as the world reopens. Meditate, get lost in a book, work on how to better manage everyday stresses, or find a new activity that brings you joy.

The team at MAPS is dedicated to helping all our patients find solutions for their pain, and we are here for you. To learn more about how we can help you, contact a member of our team and we’ll schedule an appointment. You have nothing to lose but the pain – contact us today!
